Burst pipe at 11 p.m.
She gets the name and number first, in case the line drops. Then she asks once whether they know where the main shut-off is, and tells them to turn it off if they can. The call is marked urgent so it is the first thing you see.

FOR PLUMBERS
When you’re under a house or asleep, Mabel picks up in your company’s name, asks the right plumbing questions and gets you the job before the homeowner calls the next plumber on the list.
A homeowner with water coming through the ceiling doesn’t leave a voicemail. They hang up and call the next plumber Google shows them. Most plumbing emergencies happen after hours, which is exactly when nobody is at the desk.
Mabel is an AI receptionist set up for your plumbing company. She answers the calls you miss, nights, weekends and while you’re on a job, and she knows the difference between a burst pipe and a dripping faucet.
She gets the name and number first, in case the line drops. Then she asks once whether they know where the main shut-off is, and tells them to turn it off if they can. The call is marked urgent so it is the first thing you see.
She asks plainly, “Do you need somebody out there right away?” If the answer is yes, she says so out loud, takes the address and what is happening, and flags it for you.
She tells the caller to leave the house and call the gas company or 911 first, then takes the message. That one is above everybody’s pay grade, and she knows it.
Not an emergency, and she does not treat it like one. She takes the job, the address and a good time to call back, and it waits for your morning.
You keep your business number. Turn on no-answer forwarding once with your phone company, and every call you can’t get to rings through to Mabel. She answers in your company’s name, takes the details and texts you when the call ends. The steps for each phone company are on the Setup page.
No. She never promises a truck or a time. She promises that the message reaches you right away and that urgent calls are flagged, and she tells the caller somebody will call them back.
Water where it shouldn’t be or no water at all: burst or leaking pipes, water through a ceiling, sewage backups, an overflowing toilet that won’t stop, no water in the house, a badly leaking water heater, or a main line backing up. We set the rules with you during setup.
Mabel is $275 a month flat, with no per-minute meter, so a busy storm night costs the same as a quiet one. One-time onboarding is $62.50 for the first 50 customers, normally $125.
$275 a month. Your number stays yours.
Turn on forwarding once, and Mabel catches every call you miss.
